About Haas School Students

MBA students from Haas embody a diversity of backgrounds and professional experiences. With an average of 5-8 years of work experience, they come to business school with impressive professional experience in finance, consulting, information technology, healthcare/biotech, government, accounting, real estate and the not-for-profit sector.
Master's in Financial Engineering students are preparing for the growing niche of quantitative finance careers. Their studies balance the latest financial theory with practical applications of financial modeling concepts. Students learn to employ theoretical finance and computer modeling skills to make pricing, hedging, trading and portfolio management decisions.
Haas undergraduate students attend the highly competitive, two-year Undergraduate Program whose goal is to provide students with the knowledge and technical skills necessary to understand the modern business world, to prepare for subsequent graduate work, and to achieve the highest levels of success in their professional careers. Students are challenged to develop creative and innovative solutions to contemporary business problems and to develop leadership skills. After two years in the program, students earn a Bachelor of Science degree that takes a general management perspective.
